1 Hotels is set to deepen its presence in Mexico with the development of 1 Hotel Cabo, a new nature-led resort planned for Los Cabos. The project will rise adjacent to 1 Homes Cabo, extending the brand's combined hospitality and residential footprint at the destination. Construction is scheduled to begin after the conceptual design phase, with an opening targeted for late 2028 or early 2029. With a focus on sustainable luxury and strong local partnerships, the resort is positioned to become a flagship expression of the brand's nature-first philosophy in Baja.

Planned as a coastal sanctuary where desert landscapes meet the Sea of Cortez, 1 Hotel Cabo will be developed in collaboration with Grupo Questro and Grupo MRP. Grupo Questro brings extensive experience in large-scale projects across the region, while Grupo MRP, an alternative asset manager with a track record in mixed-use developments, will help integrate the hotel into a broader real estate ecosystem. Together with 1 Hotels, the partners are shaping a resort concept that pairs contemporary architecture with raw, elemental surroundings, aiming to create a destination that feels rooted in the land as much as it engages with the water.

The new resort will be directly connected to 1 Homes Cabo, expanding an integrated world of branded residences and hospitality under the 1 Hotels umbrella. Homeowners at 1 Homes Cabo are expected to gain privileged access to the forthcoming hotel's amenities, including restaurants, wellness offerings and a private beach club, reinforcing a seamless lifestyle between residential and resort living. This model strengthens the brand's ecosystem in Los Cabos, giving guests and residents a larger, more cohesive environment to move between home, hotel and coastline.

Architecture for 1 Hotel Cabo will be led by Agustín Caso and Miguel De la Torre, with interiors conceived by Huber in collaboration with the in-house 1 Hotels design team. The design approach centers on continuity between indoor and outdoor spaces, making the most of views, natural light and the interplay of textures that reference Baja's desert and shoreline. Local craftsmanship and regionally sourced materials are expected to play a prominent role, aligning the project with 1 Hotels' broader commitment to environmentally conscious development and an aesthetic that feels both tactile and timeless.

When it opens, 1 Hotel Cabo is slated to feature approximately 124 guestrooms and suites, offering a mix of room types configured for couples, families and small groups. Plans include beachside infinity pools that frame the coastline, along with a rooftop bar and lounge designed as a social focal point with long views over the sea and surrounding landscape. A collection of dining venues and wellness spaces will complete the experience, with zones specifically designed to blur interior and exterior boundaries so that guests remain closely connected to the elements throughout their stay. Taken together, the resort underlines how 1 Hotels is continuing to expand in Latin America while staying anchored in a clear vision of nature-inspired, low-impact luxury.
