BWH Hotels has opened Aiden Surawong Bangkok, bringing the design-led Aiden brand to Southeast Asia for the first time. Located on Surawong Road in a heritage-rich part of Thailand’s capital, the boutique hotel places guests close to culture, creativity and commerce. The property has been transformed from a former jewelry workshop into an art deco-inspired hotel shaped by gemstone imagery and the glamour of the 1920s. With 77 rooms and suites, social spaces, dining and a skyline pool, the opening strengthens BWH Hotels’ presence in Bangkok hospitality.

The launch of Aiden Surawong Bangkok marks an important regional milestone for BWH Hotels. The Aiden brand is described as an eclectic collection of contemporary hotels designed to capture the essence of their destination. In Bangkok, that philosophy is expressed through a hotel that reflects the identity of Surawong Road, a historic urban area that has evolved into a lively heritage district.

The hotel’s location gives it strong appeal for urban explorers, culture-led travellers and guests seeking a more connected Bangkok stay. The century-old Neilson Hays Library, the Bangkok Folk Museum and the flagship store of Jim Thompson are all located along the same street as the hotel. Nearby areas including Silom, Yaowarat and Bang Rak add further access to night markets, Chinatown street food and riverside culture.

Connectivity is also central to the property’s positioning. Sala Daeng BTS skytrain station and Sam Yan MRT subway station place the wider city within easy reach. This gives Aiden Surawong Bangkok relevance for both leisure and business travellers looking for a stylish base in a well-connected district of the capital.

Design is one of the hotel’s defining elements. The property pays homage to the area’s heritage and to its own past as a former jewelry workshop. Interiors use precious gemstone imagery and a Gatsby-like art deco design, creating a visual identity inspired by old Hollywood glamour. Connected social areas and Instagrammable spaces support the brand’s lifestyle-led character.

The hotel includes 77 rooms and suites described as refined sanctuaries for digital nomads and urban explorers. Guestrooms are designed with modern amenities suited to travellers who want both comfort and practical functionality. This reflects the brand’s focus on intuitive stays for a new generation of guests seeking more than a conventional hotel base.

Leisure and social facilities add to the hotel’s guest experience. The Gems Pool offers skyline views, while the fitness centre provides space for guests to maintain their routine. Club Ruby operates as an elegant restaurant that shifts from casual morning café to all-day dining venue and after-work bar.

Another key venue is The Garden by Aiden, a relaxed social space for post-work gatherings and private events. With signature drinks and a laid-back atmosphere, it supports the hotel’s role as a neighbourhood social address as well as a place to stay.

The announcement names Olivier Berrivin, Vice President - APAC, BWH Hotels, as the key executive associated with the opening. His comments position the debut of Aiden in Thailand and Southeast Asia around the needs of savvy travellers seeking connection, lifestyle and meaningful local moments.

With Aiden Surawong Bangkok, BWH Hotels now operates 17 properties in the Greater Bangkok region and 28 properties in Thailand. The opening also supports the group’s wider Asia Pacific growth strategy, which targets around 200 hotels across the region over the next five years. For Aiden, the Bangkok debut introduces the brand to Southeast Asia through a hotel shaped by boutique hospitality, heritage design, local culture and lifestyle-driven travel.
