Aman brings its first ranch retreat to Texas Hill Country
Aman is expanding its U.S. presence with Amansanu, the brand’s first ranch-inspired property in the country. Set in Texas Hill Country northwest of Austin, the project marks the sixth Aman address in the United States and introduces a new expression of the group’s luxury hospitality model. Announced on April 23, 2026, the development adds another high-profile destination to Aman’s North American growth pipeline. Positioned within a landscape of hills, limestone cliffs and rivers, Amansanu is being shaped around privacy, immersion and a strong connection to nature.
With Amansanu, Aman is moving beyond its established resort formula to introduce a concept influenced by ranch living while remaining anchored in the brand’s signature sense of seclusion and place. The property will feature standalone pavilions alongside a collection of private Aman Residences, giving the project a dual identity as both an ultra-luxury retreat and a branded residential destination. The natural setting is central to the concept, with the development designed to make the surrounding landscape a defining part of the guest experience. This latest addition also strengthens a U.S. portfolio that already includes landmark properties such as Amangiri, Amangani and Aman New York.
Architecture will play a major role in shaping that identity. The project has been designed by Olson Kundig, the studio selected to create a property that responds directly to the topography of the site. According to the article, the buildings are intended to follow the contours of the land and open up panoramic views across the surrounding valleys, reinforcing the feeling of integration rather than contrast. At the center of the estate will be a Main Lodge, complemented by several dining concepts and an Aman Spa located along a natural watercourse, adding another layer to the project’s blend of landscape, design and wellbeing.
The experiential offer will further distinguish Amansanu within the broader luxury resort market. Plans include hiking trails, sports facilities and stables, with the development set to become the group’s first fully integrated equestrian operation. The residential component will also be spread across expansive plots, designed to provide both intimacy and a direct relationship with the natural environment. In strategic terms, the project reflects Vlad Doronin’s ambition to build singular destinations rooted in their settings, while also supporting Aman’s wider growth in the Americas, alongside projects including Amanvari in Mexico and future developments in Beverly Hills, Miami Beach and the Bahamas.
