Ana Yela is a "Place of Inspiration" whose construction was influenced by an ancient love story. This small 300-year-old urban palace has been beautifully restored by German entrepreneur Bernd Kolb and has become a "Place of Inspiration", a place where one can soothe the senses, forget about everyday worries, and be stimulated by subtly vibrant colors, music, food, and thought-provoking scents.

Local craftsmen contributed to the restoration of this remarkable palace, reviving its former glory through the art of traditional, centuries-old skills cultivated in the crafts of this country, for which Marrakech is famous worldwide. Every piece of furniture, every lamp, and even the cutlery were individually designed by Bernd Kolb and Yannick Hervy and crafted by Moroccan artisans.

The name Ana Yela means "I am Yela," and these are the first words of a love letter hidden in one of the niches in the building before work began on it. The letter tells the romantic story of love for a girl named Yela who once lived in this house. One of the most famous calligraphers of the Quran in Marrakech chiseled this story in silver on the vast doors, preserving chronological order, just like the pages of a book, making each room a chapter in this story. This magical tale creates a unique atmosphere in this palace.

Maintained in traditional Moroccan garden style, each of the five rooms is situated around a central courtyard, with a heated pool located at its center. The flat rooftop terrace offers magnificent views of the city, the desert, the palm oasis, and the snow-capped peaks of the Atlas Mountains.

Breakfasts and dinners can be served on the romantic Magic Carpet, located in a small tower on the upper terrace, known as the place where young Yela met her husband and experienced her first kiss. The excellent service provided by the staff of Ana Yela was honored with a special award from the World Hotel Awards in 2009.
