Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane strengthens Minor Hotels’ footprint in Laos
Minor Hotels has announced Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane, a new premium lifestyle hotel set to open in Q2 2026 in the capital of Laos. The project will become the group’s second hotel in the country, joining Avani+ Luang Prabang and reinforcing its presence in one of Southeast Asia’s most culturally rich and fast-evolving destinations. Positioned on Fa Ngum Road, the hotel is being developed as a contemporary base for both business travel and leisure travel in an increasingly connected Vientiane. The launch also strengthens the regional momentum of the Avani brand.
Located around 15 minutes from Wattay International Airport, Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane is designed to serve not only international visitors, but also the local community through a connected, social, and design-led hospitality concept. The hotel will feature 197 rooms, ranging from Deluxe Rooms to Suites and a Presidential Suite, with layouts created to balance comfort, efficiency, and flexibility for modern travellers. This positioning reflects Avani’s wider brand identity, which focuses on smart design, upbeat service, and practical urban stays that still deliver a strong lifestyle dimension.
Food and beverage will play a central role in the guest experience. The hotel is planned with four dining venues, each aimed at a different part of the day and guest journey. Mekong Mosaic will serve as the all-day dining restaurant with international cuisine, buffet selections, live cooking stations, and both indoor and outdoor seating. Sabaidee Social will bring a more relaxed, bar-led atmosphere to the ground floor with direct street access, helping the property connect with both guests and residents. The Pantry is being positioned as a casual café and deli for coffee, light bites, and informal meetings, while Salongxay will deliver a more refined fine dining experience supported by two private dining rooms.
The hotel is also being developed with a strong focus on wellness and events. AvaniSpa will occupy the mezzanine floor and include three single treatment rooms, two couples’ treatment rooms, and a dedicated relaxation lounge. AvaniFit will add a spacious gym, a body-and-mind studio, and changing facilities, while an outdoor swimming pool on the ground floor will provide an easy reset throughout the day. For meetings, weddings, and private functions, the property will include the Lanexang Hall ballroom for up to 320 guests, divisible into two event rooms, as well as additional meeting rooms and an outdoor lawn for up to 100 guests.
For Minor Hotels, the signing is more than a single-property opening. It reinforces a strategy of growing in destinations where modern hospitality can sit naturally alongside heritage, culture, and destination-led travel. With Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane, the group is adding a design-conscious new address in a capital city that continues to gain relevance as a regional gateway, while also expanding the visibility of Avani Hotels & Resorts in Laos.
