Campanile PRIME arrives in Nice with a full transformation of Campanile Nice Airport
After a nine-month renovation, the Campanile Nice Airport has been elevated to the new Campanile PRIME standard, part of Louvre Hotels Group’s plan to modernize 80% of its portfolio by 2028. The upgraded hotel introduces superior comfort, contemporary design and convivial social spaces a short walk from Nice Airport and the Promenade des Anglais. With refreshed guestrooms, new dining anchored by a signature rotisserie, expanded meetings capacity and a brand-new fitness room, the property is positioned as an essential stopover for business and leisure travelers. Early results show improved guest satisfaction, with e-reputation scores at renovated Campanile hotels rising by an average of 10%.
The 170 rooms now span standard, superior and junior suite categories, including five accessible rooms supported by an external lift from the underground car park, a dedicated ramp and an internal lift serving all floors. PRIME comfort standards are in place throughout, featuring premium bedding with 30 cm mattresses, extra-soft pillows and 100% cotton duvets to elevate sleep quality. Beyond the rooms, all common areas have been redesigned to foster an easygoing, cosy atmosphere. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in a contemporary setting, with a generous morning buffet headlined by handmade brioche crafted from 100% French ingredients, and a centerpiece rotisserie turning out grilled meats and poultry to order. Events are supported by three modular, fully equipped seminar rooms accommodating up to 350 guests, complemented by a warmly landscaped terrace that extends the social space just minutes from central Nice. Responding to urban travelers’ routines, a former office has been converted into a modern fitness room, aligning with PRIME’s emphasis on practicality and well-being.
The location strengthens the hotel’s appeal for multi-purpose travel. Set on the Promenade des Anglais, opposite Nice Airport and five minutes on foot from Saint-Augustin train station and the tram, guests have quick links to business districts, beaches and Riviera icons including Monaco, Cannes and neighboring Italy. The PRIME rollout sits alongside Campanile’s dual-concept strategy that also introduces the NATURE label for more outdoor-oriented properties. In France, brand momentum includes plans to convert nearly 30 owned hotels to Campanile PRIME by year end, with 10 franchised hotels slated to adopt the PRIME label in 2025. Krystel Blondeau, France General Director at Louvre Hotels Group, notes that PRIME and NATURE reflect a modular design approach focused on modernity and comfort, reinforcing Campanile’s core values while redefining the guest experience across city and nature destinations.
