Corinthia London Welcomes Mezzogiorno by Francesco Mazzei
This November, Corinthia London will debut Mezzogiorno by Francesco Mazzei, a spirited Italian restaurant rooted in the celebrated chef’s Calabrian heritage. Transforming the hotel’s former Northall Restaurant, Mezzogiorno promises a soulful dining experience inspired by the Baroque palazzos of Southern Italy, blending tradition, generosity, and refined hospitality.
Francesco Mazzei, one of the UK’s most influential Italian chefs, brings his southern roots to life in this new concept. Known for acclaimed London restaurants such as L’Anima, Fiume, and Sartoria, Mazzei has built a reputation for showcasing bold flavors and timeless Italian culinary traditions. At Mezzogiorno, he channels Calabria’s rich food culture – from fiery chillies and soppressata to fragrant bergamot – while sourcing 70% of ingredients locally from the UK, including Scottish seafood, Westcombe ricotta, and Welsh lamb.
The menu highlights include Umbrian White Truffle Tortelli, the famous Four Pastas of Rome, Bistecca alla Fiorentina, and Mazzei’s signature Massive Marsala Tiramisu. A dedicated White Truffle menu, Italian-led wine selection, and vibrant aperitivi cocktails prepared tableside will further enhance the authentic yet modern Italian dining journey. With sustainability at its core, the restaurant emphasizes short supply chains, seasonal produce, and collaborations with local farmers and markets.
Designed by Afroditi, the interiors evoke southern Italy’s stonewashed glamour with terracotta, natural stone tones, lush greenery, and hand-painted stucco. By day, the space feels sunlit and nostalgic; by night, it transforms into a romantic setting under custom Murano chandeliers. Guests enter through the bustling kitchen, reinforcing the sense of warmth, authenticity, and community that defines both Mazzei’s cooking and Corinthia’s philosophy.
With the arrival of Mezzogiorno, Corinthia London strengthens its position as a leading culinary destination, joining Tom Kerridge’s Kerridge’s Bar & Grill, Velvet by Salvatore Calabrese, The Garden, and the Crystal Moon Lounge as part of its diverse dining portfolio.
