Cristiano Ronaldo is opening a hotel in New York

Portuguese football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has brought his expanding hotel chain to the United States, opening the Pestana CR7 in Times Square, New York City. This marks his first hotel outside of Europe.

This 176-room hotel is located on West 39th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenue, near the Hudson Yards neighborhood and the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.

All rooms are equipped with espresso machines, refrigerators, USB ports, HD TVs, and Wi-Fi. At the Seven Bar & Restaurant, healthy international cuisine and Portuguese snacks are served. Guests can watch various sporting events on multiple screens. They also have access to a fitness center and banquet/business rooms. Room prices at the hotel start from $117 per night.

The concept of the lifestyle brand Pestana CR7 (where "7" represents Ronaldo's jersey number) was born in 2016 through the collaboration between the Portuguese hotel group Pestana and Cristiano Ronaldo. The CR7 hotel in New York joined the existing properties of the brand in Madeira, Lisbon, and Madrid. There are also plans for a hotel in Manchester near Piccadilly Gardens in 2023.
