Frasers Hospitality is accelerating its presence in Mainland China with the opening of Modena by Fraser Shenzhen and Modena by Fraser Wujiaochang Shanghai. Both properties embody the brand’s focus on adaptable, community-minded living spaces tailored to today’s mobile professionals and long-stay guests. The dual debuts deepen Frasers Hospitality’s footprint to eight Modena locations in China and reinforce its strategy to deliver lifestyle-driven residences in top-tier cities. Each opening introduces flexible white-zone layouts, practical kitchenettes and carefully programmed social areas that foster a sense of belonging among residents.
Guided by Chief Executive Officer Eu Chin Fen and Chief Operating Officer Chew Hang Song, the brand’s latest projects signal the importance of China within Frasers Hospitality’s wider Asian growth plan. Modena by Fraser Shenzhen soft-opened on 29 March 2025 with 325 apartments inside the sculptural Shennan 1001 tower, an architectural landmark designed by PLP Architecture in the city’s Luohu District. Direct links to Hong Kong via major border crossings and Shenzhen Metro Lines 2, 5 and 8 position the residence as a convenient base for cross-border executives and leisure travellers. Amenities range from a pickleball court and yoga studio to an outdoor barbecue area and lobby café, supporting active living in the heart of the Greater Bay Area.
In Shanghai, Modena by Fraser Wujiaochang soft-opened on 20 May 2025, offering 307 fully furnished studios and apartments from 23 sqm to 66 sqm. Set amid Yangpu District’s vibrant Wujiaochang hub and within easy reach of Fudan University and Tongji University, the property delivers a balanced lifestyle that blends work and wellness. Facilities include a landscaped arrival garden, smart-mirror gym, yoga studio, relaxation lounges and versatile meeting venues, while the onsite restaurant serves Cantonese and local Shanghai dishes.
