Destination by Hyatt arrives on Paros
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has celebrated the arrival of Parian Chronicle Hotel Paros, a contemporary Cycladic retreat on the island of Paros in Greece. The 50-room hotel is managed by SWOT Hospitality and combines island heritage, refined leisure and private outdoor space. The property marks the Destination by Hyatt brand’s second hotel in Greece and its first on a Greek island. Its launch strengthens the brand’s presence in a European market where Greece reached an all-time high of 37.98 million inbound visitors in 2025.
Parian Chronicle Hotel Paros takes its name from the ancient marble inscription discovered on Paros, which recorded important moments of Greek history and mythology. This idea of storytelling shapes the hotel’s identity, inviting guests to experience the island through culture, design, food and local connection. Located in the village of Kampos, close to the airport and Parikia Port, the property offers a tranquil base for exploring the island’s villages, hidden beaches, local producers and coastline.
The hotel features 50 newly built guestrooms and suites for guests aged 13 and above. The accommodation has been carefully positioned to maximise privacy and create a calm residential atmosphere. A total of 39 rooms include private pools, while the remaining rooms offer outdoor jacuzzis. Guestrooms and suites range from 30 to 42 square metres and include spacious terraces or patios, sea views and a soft coastal ambience.
Design plays a central role in the property’s sense of place. The interiors reinterpret traditional Greek architecture through clean lines, whitewashed forms and natural materials including stone, wood and linen. Makridis Associates, the architect and interior designer behind the project, has drawn on Paros marble, the island’s landscape and its distinctive light. A palette of soft neutrals and warm earth tones reinforces the hotel’s connection to the natural environment of Paros.
The culinary experience is centred on NAAO, the hotel’s signature restaurant. Dining follows the rhythm of the island from morning to sunset, beginning with a signature drink and the Peskesi basket, which brings together freshly baked breads, herbs, olive oil, honey and regional cheeses. At lunch, The Parian Table offers sharing-style dishes inspired by local recipes, seasonal produce and ingredients sourced from island growers and makers. In the evening, Cycladic ingredients and techniques such as curing, sun drying and grilling are paired with wines from Paros and the wider Cyclades, alongside cocktails and zero or low alcohol options.
Food also becomes a way for guests to discover the island beyond the table. The hotel offers producer-led tastings, island pantry rituals and communal gatherings that combine local food, music and hospitality. These experiences reflect the wider philosophy of the Destination by Hyatt brand, which focuses on hotels rooted in their surroundings and connected to local people, culture and place.
Wellness at Parian Chronicle Hotel Paros is centred on Nipson Spa, inspired by ancient Greek healing traditions. The 120-square-metre wellness area includes a fully equipped fitness centre, two separate single-sex saunas, a double treatment room and dedicated relaxation spaces. The spa offers restorative therapies designed to reconnect guests with mind and body. A large outdoor pool adds another space for relaxation and recovery within the coastal setting.
The guest experience also extends into the wider island. Parian Chronicle Hotel Paros encourages travellers to discover hidden beaches, traditional villages, local artisans, producers and winemakers. This approach positions the hotel as more than a place to stay, creating a gateway to the heritage, craftsmanship and cuisine of Paros. The property’s emphasis on slow-paced luxury, thoughtful design and meaningful connection gives it a distinctive role within the Greek island hotel market.
The opening brings the Destination by Hyatt brand to 25 hotels and resorts across nearly 10 countries globally. As part of Hyatt’s Classics Portfolio, the brand brings together independent hotels and resorts that reflect the spirit of their locations while offering immersive discoveries and welcoming service. With Parian Chronicle Hotel Paros, Hyatt adds a new island retreat shaped by Cycladic culture, private outdoor living, local gastronomy and the natural beauty of Paros.
