Fairmont Enters Ras Al Khaimah with Landmark Hotel and Residences on Al Marjan Island
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, part of global hospitality leader Accor, has partnered with Ardee Developments to launch the Fairmont Al Marjan Island hotel and Fairmont Residences Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, marking Fairmont’s debut in the emirate and its sixth property in the UAE. The project is set within the upcoming Ardee Al Marjan Island, a master-planned coastal lifestyle community focused on nature, luxury, and connectivity.
Announced on 28 April 2025, the strategic collaboration between Fairmont and Ardee Developments brings together world-renowned luxury hospitality and visionary real estate development to deliver a flagship mixed-use destination in one of the UAE’s fastest-growing tourism markets. The project is expected to open by end of 2028 and will include a 250-key hotel and 519 branded residences, redefining high-end living and leisure in Ras Al Khaimah.
The agreement was formalized during an official signing ceremony attended by Omer Acar, CEO of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, and Romeo Abdo, Founder of Ardee Developments, along with leadership teams from both organizations.
Omer Acar remarked, “Ras Al Khaimah’s natural beauty, strong investment appeal, and ambitious tourism vision align perfectly with Fairmont’s legacy and values. This partnership with Ardee Developments supports our regional expansion and introduces a new standard of luxury to a dynamic and promising market.”
Echoing that sentiment, Romeo Abdo described Ardee Al Marjan Island as a coastal lifestyle destination that “responds to the evolving needs of global travelers and modern residents seeking luxury, connection, and community.” He emphasized the significance of this collaboration with Fairmont as a “milestone in shaping premium beachfront living in the UAE.”
The development will be supported by Accor One Living, a pioneering platform that manages mixed-use hospitality solutions combining branded residences with hotel operations. With 20 Fairmont Residences currently operating across cities such as Los Angeles, Rabat, Marrakech, and Mayakoba, and 18 more in the pipeline, Fairmont continues to demonstrate global leadership in branded luxury residential projects.
Fairmont’s footprint in the Middle East continues to grow, with 13 operational properties and over 30 in development, including anticipated openings in Udaipur, Bangkok, Tokyo, Hanoi, New Orleans, and the English countryside. The Ras Al Khaimah project builds on this momentum, enhancing the emirate’s strategic positioning as an emerging global destination for high-end tourism and real estate investment.
