Fairmont Expands “Special Happens” With Global Menu of Immersive Experiences
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has unveiled the next evolution of its brand platform, extending Make Special Happen into a curated collection of “Special Happens…” experiences across its global portfolio. The program translates the campaign’s promise into bookable moments that highlight local culture, connection and a sense of belonging in each destination. Organized into four pillars — After Dark, In the Wild, Around the Table and In the Spotlight — the rollout spans properties across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. With offerings available at many of the brand’s 96 hotels and resorts, guests can now reserve elevated experiences that bring each locale’s character to life.
The After Dark series pairs nighttime atmospheres with wellness and culture. At Fairmont Mumbai, the Traveler’s Reset at Blu Xone - Fairmont Spa & Longevity is an after-dark ritual designed around recovery from long-haul travel. Fairmont Mayakoba hosts a bookable Día de Muertos Dinner Experience in November for private groups of six to fourteen, blending ancestral recipes and regional ingredients with family-style service. In Manila, Fairmont Makati debuts Moonlight Silent Cinema, positioning poolside film screenings with bento-style dinners and silent-disco headsets beneath the skyline.
The In the Wild pillar showcases nature-forward adventures. Fairmont Orchid on Hawai‘i Island offers Reel in Your Dream Adventure, a private deep-sea fishing trip along the Kohala Coast that culminates with an oceanfront dinner prepared by Executive Chef Zaid Khan. On Maui, Fairmont Kea Lani curates a Helicopter Cocktail Odyssey, flying guests to the sugarcane fields of Kuleana Rum Works for a bespoke tasting tied to Pilina, the resort’s oceanfront lounge, followed by a farm lunch and sunset toast. In Puerto Rico, Fairmont El San Juan Hotel introduces the Tropical Splendor Engagement Package with a secluded villa stay and helicopter flight for a proposal set against island scenery. Fairmont Chateau Whistler presents Absolute Solitude Wellness, a seaplane journey to a secluded sanctuary for guided yoga amid old-growth forest and waterfalls.
Culinary storytelling anchors Around the Table. At Fairmont Taghazout, two signature restaurants stage a biannual trilogy featuring Chef Masaharu Morimoto of Morimoto and Chef Fabrizio Aceti of Paper Moon, spanning an intimate Chef’s Table, a tasting journey and seasonal menu reveals. Fairmont Ambassador Seoul offers a Cinematic K-Romance proposal dinner at Mariposa, pairing a six-course menu with hanbok-inspired florals and Yeouido skyline views. In Singapore, Fairmont Singapore runs a Friday-only Harvest-to-Table Lunch in October, November and December, beginning at the hotel’s aquaponics farm and culminating with a three-course meal at SKAI on the 70th floor with a cellar tour by Sommelier Luca. For the festive season, Fairmont San Francisco opens private dining inside its Gingerbread House from November 22, 2025 to January 1, 2026, including exclusive seatings on December 24 and 25.
Local heritage and access define In the Spotlight. Fairmont Royal Palm Marrakech curates a Sky-to-Souk Journey that starts with a sunrise balloon ride above the desert and Atlas Mountains, then continues by vintage car or sidecar to Medina workshops with local experts. At Fairmont Le Montreux Palace, guests tour Chalet Claude Nobs, the private home of the Montreux Jazz Festival founder, for rare access to recordings, instruments and memorabilia. Fairmont Jaipur’s A Day in Chak Charanwas weaves village walks showcasing Gotta Patti and Zari embroidery with a potter’s demonstration, a home-cooked lunch, a camel ride through fields and school visits for an intimate view of rural Rajasthan.
By structuring experiences under four clear themes, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts offers a scalable framework that reflects each hotel’s community while remaining brand-consistent. The initiative broadens the ways guests can engage with destinations — from restorative wellness and outdoor exploration to chef-driven dining and cultural immersion — reinforcing how Special Happens every day across the portfolio.
