Leading the charge is Fairmont The Red Sea, slated to open by the end of 2025. Part of the Kingdom’s ambitious Red Sea Project, the resort will offer 193 rooms, six signature dining venues, an overwater restaurant, spa, kids’ and teens’ clubs, and proximity to an 18-hole championship golf course. Set along 200 km of untouched coastline, the property exemplifies Fairmont’s commitment to sustainability, with pristine surroundings including coral reefs, mangroves, and ancient archaeological sites.

The second launch, Fairmont Ajdan Al Khobar, will open in 2027 within the dynamic Ajdan Waterfront. This mixed-use district will welcome a 160-room hotel with serviced apartments, four dining outlets, a Fairmont Spa, fitness facilities, and executive meeting spaces. Its prime location in the heart of Al Khobar is expected to drive both business and leisure travel.

Completing the trio is Fairmont Rua Madinah, opening in 2028. Overlooking the Prophet’s Mosque, the hotel will include 143 rooms and suites, 120 branded residences, multiple dining options, a fitness center, spa, and kids’ club. With this addition, Fairmont will secure a presence in both of Saudi Arabia’s religious cities, complementing its existing property, the Makkah Clock Royal Tower, A Fairmont Hotel, renowned for its grandeur and proximity to the Kaaba.

These additions will join Fairmont Hotel Riyadh and Fairmont Ramla Serviced Residences, the Kingdom’s first luxury branded serviced residences, reinforcing the brand’s leadership in the premium hospitality segment. The expansion reflects Fairmont’s long-term vision, focusing on cultural resonance, elevated guest experiences, and strategic integration into high-growth destinations.

Maarten Den Nieuwenhuijsen, Senior Vice President Openings and Guest Experience, and Rolf Lippuner, Vice President, Operations for Middle East, both underscored the brand’s dedication to shaping Saudi Arabia’s luxury tourism sector through iconic design, authentic service, and meaningful connections with local communities.
