Fairmont Hotels & Resorts Launches Global Bar Activations
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is elevating the art of hospitality with two new bar initiatives that bring together global elegance, local flavor, and exceptional craftsmanship. Kicking off May 2025, the brand introduces the “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere” happy hour and a 24-hour celebration of World Paloma Day in partnership with PATRÓN Tequila. These initiatives highlight Fairmont’s commitment to unforgettable, socially driven guest experiences across its iconic portfolio.
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is transforming its renowned bars and lounges into the vibrant heartbeat of its destinations as part of its newly expanded Global Bar Program. The brand’s latest beverage activations are designed to celebrate local culture while uniting Fairmont properties around the world in shared moments of connection and celebration.
The new “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere” happy hour invites guests to experience a complimentary welcome pour at 5:00 PM daily at select Fairmont hotels, marking a ceremonial transition into the evening. Guests at launch locations—including The Savoy, Fairmont Century Plaza, Cape Grace, Fairmont Singapore, and others—will enjoy premium cocktails and non-alcoholic options crafted with partners such as Fentimans, London Essence, and Lyre’s. This seasonal series emphasizes inclusivity and local expression, evolving throughout the year with new beverage collaborations.
Building on this momentum, Fairmont will host an unprecedented 24-hour World Paloma Day celebration on May 22, uniting six of its properties in a continuous globe-spanning party dedicated to the beloved citrus-forward cocktail. Starting at Fairmont The Palm with a Paloma Pool Party, the celebration will roll across time zones with curated events including a rooftop fiesta at Fairmont Golden Prague, a tequila-themed night brunch at Fairmont Singapore, and an immersive bar collaboration with Hanky Panky at The Savoy in London.
In the Americas, the party continues with a rooftop bash at Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles before concluding with a sunset Paloma Beach Party at Fairmont Mayakoba in Mexico—the country that birthed the cocktail. Guests not attending in person can still indulge in Paloma menus offered across Fairmont properties all month, each featuring bespoke regional variations alongside the classic PATRÓN Paloma, made with PATRÓN Reposado, lime juice, agave syrup, fresh grapefruit, and a sparkling finish.
According to Philip Mahoney, Senior Vice President of Food & Beverage at Fairmont, these activations reflect the brand’s intent to anchor its hotels as cultural and social epicenters, delivering distinctive bar experiences that leave lasting impressions. Lauren Mote, Global Director of On-Trade Excellence at PATRÓN Tequila, reinforced the partnership’s alignment in celebrating tequila’s rising prominence and the Paloma’s global appeal.
With the launch of these initiatives, Fairmont continues to fuse luxury hospitality with vibrant storytelling and curated social experiences, ensuring each visit to a Fairmont bar is more than a drink—it’s a moment worth toasting.
