Fairmont Hotels & Resorts will officially enter Vietnam with the opening of Fairmont Hanoi in February 2026, introducing the brand’s first property in the country. Positioned in Hanoi’s Old Quarter steps from Hoàn Kiếm Lake, the hotel is designed as a new social hub blending local heritage with contemporary luxury. The opening brings a high-profile addition to the city’s luxury hospitality landscape, supported by a major dining lineup and extensive events infrastructure.

Developed as part of Accor’s luxury portfolio, Fairmont Hanoi launches with 241 guest rooms, including 38 Fairmont Gold rooms and 12 suites, alongside eight bars and restaurants, a large-scale wellness destination, and what is described as Hanoi’s largest pillarless ballroom. The property is owned by GELEX Group, with the owner’s representative Lê Tuấn Anh linked to the project’s positioning as a new landmark in the capital’s economic and commercial center. Design was led by Perkins Eastman and Aston Design, with the hotel’s aesthetic drawing on Hanoi’s relationship with the Red River, as well as cultural references including the Imperial Citadel of Thăng Long.

Accommodation is built around calm, layered interiors intended to counterbalance the city’s energy, with room views spanning the Old Quarter, city skyline, or an inner garden. The hotel also flags a forthcoming Presidential Suite that blends Art Deco touches with Vietnamese influences, reinforcing a top-end proposition for high-profile stays and discreet travel. Operationally, the opening is overseen by General Manager Jean-François Brun, who is positioned as leading the brand’s entry into the market.

Food and beverage is a major pillar of the concept, built around eight venues designed to anchor the hotel in Hanoi’s evolving dining and cocktail scene. Tran Dynasty is set to introduce a contemporary interpretation of Vietnamese culinary heritage led by celebrity chef Luke Nguyen. Hiryu brings a polished Japanese experience spanning sushi, teppanyaki, and private dining. Bacco, led by Michelin-starred chef Nicolas Isnard, is framed as an Italian concept with open-kitchen energy and table-side elements. Additional venues include Pool Terrace & Bar, while 10 Central Café, YY Bar, and the Fairmont Gold Lounge are already welcoming guests, with some other outlets planned to be unveiled in the near future.

Wellness is anchored by the Cirua Spa, Fitness & Wellness Club, described as an urban retreat spanning 38,000 square feet. The facility includes a signature bathhouse with hydrotherapy and thermal features, plus plunge pools, saunas, steam rooms, and ten private treatment rooms, alongside a fitness studio designed to support both physical restoration and balance. This scale is positioned as a defining differentiator for a city-center hotel, strengthening Fairmont’s appeal for both leisure travelers and high-performing business guests looking for a full-service reset.

On the meetings side, Fairmont Hanoi is built to compete at the top end of MICE demand. The hotel’s centerpiece is a 12,000-square-foot column-free ballroom, described as the largest in the Old Quarter, supported by additional ballrooms and naturally lit meeting rooms. In total, the MICE offering spans over 4,000 square meters, a substantial footprint for a prime location in central Hanoi and a clear signal of intent to attract high-value conferences, celebrations, and cultural events.

To mark the launch, the hotel is promoting an opening-period incentive running from February through the end of April 2026: a VND 1,000,000 credit per night that can be used across its eight restaurants and bars, available to guests and ALL Accor members. The combination of destination dining, large-format events capacity, and a standout wellness club positions Fairmont Hanoi as an ambitious new entry aimed at shaping the next chapter of luxury travel in Hanoi.
