Hilton debuts lifestyle portfolio in India with Slohh by Roach
Hilton has opened Slohh by Roach Bengaluru, Curio Collection by Hilton, marking the debut of Curio Collection by Hilton in India and South Asia. The 221-key hotel also represents Hilton’s first lifestyle hotel in India, bringing a locally rooted and design-led hospitality concept to Bengaluru. Located in Whitefield, one of the city’s major business and technology corridors, the property is developed in partnership with Roach Lifescapes. Its opening expands Hilton’s Indian portfolio with a hotel shaped by culture, community, music, design and contemporary urban living.
Slohh by Roach Bengaluru, Curio Collection by Hilton is designed around a strong sense of place. The hotel takes inspiration from the coffee estates and residential heritage of the Malnad region in the Western Ghats, creating a hospitality experience that feels closely connected to Karnataka’s landscape and traditions. This gives the property a distinctive identity within Curio Collection by Hilton, a brand known for individually remarkable hotels with their own stories and character.
The design concept follows the life cycle of a coffee bean, moving from soft whites and light browns into richer chocolate tones, with accents of dusty pink and rust. Natural materials, vernacular pitched roofs and carved details help create a warm, intimate atmosphere. The result is a hotel that blends contemporary lifestyle hospitality with the feeling of being welcomed into a private home.
Accommodation includes 221 rooms and suites across seven categories. Many rooms feature balconies overlooking Varthur Lake and the Bengaluru skyline, giving guests a direct visual connection with the city and its natural surroundings. Suites, including the expansive Malnad Presidential Suite, offer separate living and dining spaces inspired by plantation homes from the Malnad region.
The hotel’s location in Whitefield gives it strong appeal for business travellers, technology professionals and guests visiting one of Bengaluru’s fastest-growing commercial districts. At the same time, the property’s lifestyle positioning, wellness spaces, dining programme and cultural experiences give it relevance for leisure travellers and local residents looking for a more distinctive urban hotel experience.
Meetings, weddings and social events are supported by a substantial events offer. The Banyan, the hotel’s pillarless ballroom, spans 5,000 square feet and can accommodate up to 600 guests. It is supported by a 3,000-square-foot pre-function area, multiple meeting rooms, a boardroom, a beauty salon and a dedicated bridal suite, allowing the hotel to serve both corporate and celebratory occasions.
Wellness is another important part of the property’s guest experience. Facilities include a temperature-controlled outdoor pool, a 24-hour fitness centre, a hammam and a full-service spa. These spaces support the hotel’s positioning as a lifestyle destination where work, rest, social life and wellbeing can sit naturally together.
Dining at Slohh by Roach is led by Nana’s, the all-day dining restaurant. The menu is inspired by family recipes, generational cooking techniques, regional flavours and seasonal traditions from Karnataka and the Malnad belt. Alongside these local influences, the restaurant also offers comforting dishes from across India and selected global classics.
The hotel also includes an Executive Club Lounge, designed for both residential and non-residential guests. This adds a further layer to the property’s dining and social offer, creating a setting for informal meetings, relaxed gatherings and premium guest experiences. Together with Nana’s, it supports the hotel’s ambition to become both a destination for travellers and a meaningful part of the local community.
Culture and community are central to the hotel’s personality. Guest experiences include a Potter-in-Residence studio, while initiatives such as Grandma’s Recipe bring personal stories and family traditions into the culinary programme. These elements give the hotel a more intimate identity and help distinguish it from a conventional business hotel.
Music also plays a defining role in the guest experience. A curated, retro-inspired soundtrack of jazz, rhythm and blues and timeless classics flows through the hotel’s social spaces, shaping a warm and tranquil mood. This music-led atmosphere supports the broader lifestyle character of the property and gives Slohh by Roach a distinctive emotional tone.
Zubin Saxena, Senior Vice President and Regional Head, South Asia at Hilton, is connected with the company’s view that Bengaluru remains a key market shaped by a strong business ecosystem and evolving travel demand. Tal Shefer, Senior Vice President, Brand Management, Asia Pacific at Hilton, is associated with the brand’s focus on hotels shaped by their surroundings through design, cuisine and locally inspired programming. Christina Roach, Founder of Roach Lifescapes, is linked with the vision of creating an urban hotel rooted in personal hospitality, food memories, creativity and meaningful local connection.
The hotel participates in Hilton Honors, allowing members to access direct-booking benefits, digital check-in, room selection and Digital Key through the Hilton Honors app. With its 221 rooms, Malnad-inspired design, Whitefield location, events capacity, wellness facilities, music-led atmosphere and community-based experiences, Slohh by Roach Bengaluru, Curio Collection by Hilton gives Hilton a distinctive new lifestyle platform in India.
