Ibis Styles Opens Landmark Madrid Airport Valdebebas Hotel
Ibis Styles, part of the Accor Group, has officially opened the ibis Styles Madrid Airport Valdebebas, a bold new property that merges creative design with operational excellence. Strategically located across from Terminal 4 of Madrid-Barajas Airport, and within easy reach of IFEMA, Real Madrid’s training grounds, and the future Formula 1 circuit, this flagship hotel is poised to become a landmark in Madrid’s dynamic Valdebebas district.
Developed by AGP Hotels and EXTENDAM, the 260-room hotel is now the largest ibis Family hotel in Spain. Designed around the whimsical theme of “Alice in Wonderland”, the property invites guests into a dreamlike experience, where vibrant design, innovative materials, and a playful atmosphere provide both comfort and escapism. This imaginative interior concept, which turns the hotel into a fantasy park, reflects the brand’s commitment to creative and immersive environments.
The ibis Styles Madrid Airport Valdebebas offers a diverse range of rooms, including standard, superior, and premium business categories—ten of which are fully accessible. The hotel features the “Hatsy” restaurant, a 24-hour snack bar, and a generous breakfast buffet. One of the key highlights is its rooftop terrace and swimming pool, offering panoramic views of the airport runway, Madrid’s skyline, and the Sierra de Guadarrama. Additional amenities include a 100-space underground parking garage and shuttle service.
A cornerstone of this new opening is sustainability. The hotel has been constructed using cutting-edge technology and energy-efficient systems, including optimized ventilation solutions that reduce environmental impact—solidifying its status as a future-forward hospitality model.
Marc Serarols, SVP Operations Franchise for Iberia, Mediterranean & North Africa at Accor, highlighted the strategic importance of the opening, positioning it as a preferred choice for both business and leisure travelers. Emilio Matarranz, Operations Director at AGP Hotels, reaffirmed the brand’s vision to expand into high-potential locations while offering a differentiated hotel experience tailored to a wide spectrum of travelers, from families and business guests to conference attendees.
With this launch, Accor now operates 78 ibis Family hotels across Spain and 103 in the Iberian Peninsula, reinforcing its position as a leader in affordable design-led hospitality. The brand’s creative DNA and storytelling approach continue to resonate globally, with around 700 ibis Styles hotels worldwide each reflecting unique themes and local character.
