Holiday Inn Mandi will add a new internationally recognised branded hotel to Mandi, a destination with growing relevance as a commercial, administrative and transit hub. The hotel will be developed under a management agreement between IHG Hotels & Resorts and Mac View Infrabiz Private Limited. With 100 keys, the property is designed to support increasing travel demand in Himachal Pradesh while broadening IHG’s footprint in the state.

The location is central to the project’s positioning. Set in Mandi on the Chandigarh-Manali corridor, the hotel will benefit from connectivity between the National Capital Region and key leisure destinations in Himachal Pradesh. This corridor is important for travellers moving through North India for holidays, business and regional transit, giving the future hotel a practical role in the wider travel network.

Holiday Inn Mandi is expected to serve a mix of guest segments. Business travellers will benefit from the city’s administrative and commercial role, while leisure guests and transit travellers will be supported by the hotel’s position along a major route to Himachal Pradesh’s mountain destinations. Improving regional connectivity further strengthens the case for branded hospitality in the area.

The hotel will feature 100 well-appointed rooms and suites. It will also include three food and beverage options, giving guests a range of dining experiences during their stay. Event demand will be supported by versatile meeting and social spaces, including a ballroom, allowing the property to serve business events, private gatherings and local functions.

The signing builds on the strength of Holiday Inn Hotels & Resorts, one of IHG’s most recognised global brands. The brand is built around warm and welcoming stays that help guests make the most of their journey. Its broad appeal to both travellers and owners gives it strong relevance in emerging Indian destinations where reliable branded accommodation is increasingly important.

In India, Holiday Inn is seeing strong momentum. The brand currently has 17 open hotels and 34 hotels in the pipeline, reflecting its suitability across business, leisure and developing destination markets. The addition of Holiday Inn Mandi reinforces this growth and shows how the brand is being used to expand into locations with rising regional demand.

Key figures connected with the signing include Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts, and Amit Bajaj, Director, Mac View Infrabiz Private Limited. Their involvement highlights the strategic importance of the project for both the global hotel company and the local development partner. The agreement brings together IHG’s international hospitality expertise with a local opportunity in one of Himachal Pradesh’s important travel corridors.

The project also forms part of IHG’s wider growth in India. The company currently operates 52 hotels across seven brands in the country, including Six Senses, InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, Vignette Collection, Crowne Plaza, voco Hotels, Holiday Inn Resort and Holiday Inn Express. It also has a pipeline of 98 hotels due to open in the next three to five years.

Globally, IHG Hotels & Resorts operates a family of 21 hotel brands and IHG One Rewards, one of the world’s largest hotel loyalty programmes with more than 160 million members. The group has more than one million rooms across 7,000 hotels in over 100 countries, supported by a development pipeline of a further 2,300 properties.

With the signing of Holiday Inn Mandi, IHG Hotels & Resorts is strengthening its position in Himachal Pradesh and expanding its presence along a key North Indian travel route. The future hotel will combine branded accommodation, dining, event facilities and strong corridor connectivity, positioning it as a new hospitality option for travellers moving between business, leisure and transit destinations in the region.
