Meliá Hotels International is extending its footprint in Indonesia with the signing of Meliá Sentul Resort & Convention Center, a new five star property in Sentul, West Java. Located about an hour by road from Jakarta in the Bogor region, the resort will be the group’s seventh hotel in the country and its first in Sentul. The project taps into Sentul’s rise as an emerging leisure and meetings destination, where lush landscapes are paired with modern infrastructure. Developed in partnership with Saraswanti Group, the resort is positioned as a flagship address for both holidaymakers and the growing domestic MICE market.

Set in a valley known for green hillsides, hiking routes and waterfalls, Meliá Sentul Resort & Convention Center will give guests resort style seclusion with easy access to nearby attractions such as Sentul International Circuit and JungleLand Adventure Theme Park. The hotel is being designed as a contemporary five star retreat, with international all day dining, a specialty restaurant, rooftop bar, lounge, outdoor pool, gym, spa and a dedicated Kids Club creating a full service environment for families, couples and groups. The concept focuses on relaxed but upscale comfort, combining nature facing social spaces with interiors that reflect the destination’s tropical setting and growing residential community.

On the events side, the resort will add significant capacity to Sentul’s meetings and conventions offer. A purpose built convention center will include a main ballroom of around 1,160 square meters and 15 additional meeting rooms, delivering approximately 1,640 square meters of flexible event space. This scale will allow the property to host everything from corporate conferences and product launches to social galas and weddings, complementing nearby venues such as Sentul International Convention Center and supporting the area’s evolution as a meetings hub for Greater Jakarta.

For Meliá Hotels International, the Sentul signing reinforces a broader strategy to deepen its presence in key Southeast Asian markets where domestic and regional demand are both expanding. The project builds on the group’s existing relationship with Saraswanti Group, which already partners with Meliá on INNSiDE by Meliá Yogyakarta. By combining the owner’s local development expertise with Meliá’s international management platform and Spanish rooted hospitality, the new resort is expected to become a reference point for upscale leisure and business travel in West Java, while helping to position Sentul more firmly on Indonesia’s tourism map.
