NILE Hospitality signs Courtyard by Marriott Dibrugarh
NILE Hospitality has signed Courtyard by Marriott Dibrugarh, marking a significant step in its expansion into Northeast India. The project is especially important because it will become Dibrugarh’s first internationally branded hotel and NILE Hospitality’s first Marriott-branded hotel in the region. Positioned as a key gateway to the Northeast, Dibrugarh plays an important role in connecting commercial, cultural and tourism corridors. The signing also strengthens NILE Hospitality’s standing as a major third-party hotel management platform in emerging markets.
Located in the city centre, Courtyard by Marriott Dibrugarh is planned to offer strong access to business hubs, administrative offices, hospitals and shopping areas, while being just 15 minutes from Dibrugarh Airport. The site also benefits from proximity to Assam’s well-known tea estates and the city’s expanding commercial ecosystem, giving the hotel a broader appeal across both corporate and regional travel segments. In practical terms, the development is being positioned not simply as a new hotel, but as a landmark addition to a city that is growing in importance within eastern India.
The hotel will feature 75 rooms and suites together with a swimming pool, banquet facilities and rooftop dining. With its emphasis on contemporary design and functionality, the property is expected to appeal to both business travellers and leisure travellers, while also serving corporate stays, social events and wider regional movement. That mix of facilities suggests a full-service urban hotel designed to respond to the changing expectations of travellers entering the Dibrugarh hotel market.
The choice of Dibrugarh also reflects the rising importance of Assam as a driver of economic development and tourism in Northeast India. According to the announcement, increasing investment, stronger infrastructure and rising travel demand are contributing to a gradual shift toward more organised and branded hospitality offerings across the region. For NILE Hospitality, the project is therefore more than a new signing. It is a move into a market where branded hospitality, improved connectivity and commercial growth are beginning to reshape the regional landscape.
