NYX Hotel Erfurt Debuts as Leonardo Hotels Expands Lifestyle Brand in Thuringia
Leonardo Hotels Central Europe has officially expanded its lifestyle portfolio in East Germany with the opening of the NYX Hotel Erfurt. On July 1, 2025, the group took over the former Radisson Blu Hotel Erfurt, initiating a soft renovation while maintaining ongoing operations. With its central location in Erfurt’s old town and striking position in one of the city’s tallest buildings, the hotel is set to become a lifestyle destination for both leisure and business travelers.
This launch marks the first NYX Hotel in Thuringia, bringing the brand’s signature urban, artistic and individualistic design to a growing cultural and tourism hub. The move continues Leonardo Hotels’ strategic expansion in Germany, particularly in the eastern region, where it already operates properties in Berlin, Weimar, and Dresden, and is planning a future opening in Leipzig.
The NYX Hotel Erfurt boasts 284 rooms, including 31 suites, ranging from Standard and Premium Rooms to exclusive offerings like the Goddess Suites and the Heaven Suite, which features its own sauna and whirlpool. The property also includes a restaurant, stylish bar, and a spa and gym area on the 17th floor, offering panoramic views of Erfurt Cathedral, Petersberg Citadel, and the city’s historic rooftops.
A standout feature of the hotel is its elevated conference area located 60 metres above ground. It includes 13 meeting rooms across three levels, with space for up to 400 guests, positioning the NYX Hotel Erfurt as one of the top venues for events and conferences in the region.
The opening underscores Leonardo Hotels’ commitment to expanding its NYX brand in urban centres with cultural and commercial significance. With Erfurt’s dynamic blend of history and modernity, the hotel is poised to become a key attraction for both domestic and international travelers.
