Oakwood Premier Raffles Place Singapore set for an April 2026 opening
Ascott Singapore will open Oakwood Premier Raffles Place Singapore on 1 April 2026, adding a new luxury address in the heart of Singapore’s Central Business District. Housed within CapitaSpring at 88 Market Street, the hotel targets both business travellers and leisure guests who want a highly connected city base. The launch is also a milestone for The Ascott Limited, extending its Oakwood Premier presence in the city as demand for premium, well-located stays remains strong.
The new 299-room property spans seven levels and is positioned for skyline views, with Raffles Place and Telok Ayer MRT stations just minutes away. Beyond connectivity, the location is meant to capture a distinct part of the Singapore experience, with immediate access to the city’s iconic hawker culture. The hotel sits next to Market Street Hawker Centre and within walking distance of Lau Pa Sat, aligning the guest proposition with Singapore’s renowned street food scene, recognized on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list.
The opening strengthens the broader Singapore portfolio managed by Ascott Singapore, which now includes 26 operational and pipeline properties across brands such as Ascott, Oakwood, Citadines, Somerset, and lyf. For Oakwood specifically, the launch follows the December 2025 debut of Oakwood Bencoolen Singapore, signaling continued expansion across key precincts. Globally, the Oakwood portfolio is stated to comprise about 110 properties operating or in the pipeline across 15 countries and more than 50 cities, reflecting the brand’s wider growth trajectory.
At the property level, the concept is built around Oakwood’s Home + Beyond philosophy, pairing residential comfort with hotel-style service. The lobby has been designed as a refined “living room” environment, intended to feel like a natural extension of the guest’s private space - suitable for unwinding, informal meetings, or quiet downtime. Supporting longer stays and modern work patterns, the hotel plans to offer a comprehensive set of facilities including a Fitness Park, Garden Barbecue area, Launderette, Swimming Pool, and 24-hour concierge service.
Technology and sustainability are being positioned as central differentiators. Guests will have access to Wi-Fi 6 across shared and work spaces, while members of Ascott Star Rewards (ASR) can manage pre-arrival and in-stay requests via the ASR app. Environmental initiatives are designed to make impact more transparent and actionable, including access to carbon and water footprint data per room night. Guests can also opt out of daily housekeeping through the ASR app to earn additional loyalty points through Go Green incentives, while reducing resource consumption.
In-room design emphasizes smart technology and lower-waste operations. The hotel plans refillable toiletries, reusable water carafes, and in-room water filter dispensers instead of disposable bottles. Sensor-based automation is also planned to switch off lights and appliances after periods of inactivity to reduce unnecessary energy use. This combination of digital convenience and operational responsibility is aimed at guests who expect both comfort and credible environmental action in a premium city hotel.
Accommodation will range from Deluxe and Premier Rooms to Junior, Premier, and Executive Suites, with the largest suites reaching up to 60 square metres. Rooms are designed as flexible spaces that transition between work and rest, with floor-to-ceiling views, dedicated workstations, and lounge areas. For guests booking Club categories, the hotel will offer access to Oak Reserve, a private residents’ lounge positioned as a quiet retreat with curated refreshments, while The Oak Room is planned as a relaxed space for beers, wines, coffee, and fine teas throughout the day.
