Kerzner International has announced One&Only in Courchevel, the brand’s first resort in the French Alps. Set to welcome its first guests in 2030, the project will introduce One&Only’s ultra-luxury resort and private homes concept to Courchevel 1850, one of the world’s most prestigious alpine destinations. The resort will rise on the site of the historic Courcheneige Hotel, which will be completely transformed while honouring its long-standing place in Courchevel’s story. The development will combine ski-in/ski-out access, branded residences, wellness, dining and high-altitude luxury in the heart of Les Trois Vallées.

The announcement marks a major step in One&Only’s alpine strategy. Following the debut of One&Only Moonlight Basin in Montana, the brand is extending its approach to immersive luxury resorts into another globally recognised mountain destination. Courchevel is described in the release as a benchmark for alpine luxury, known for exceptional ski terrain, Michelin-starred gastronomy, luxury boutiques and a vibrant après-ski scene.

The future resort will occupy one of the most exclusive addresses in the destination. Positioned at the summit of Jardin Alpin, it will sit above neighbouring properties and offer panoramic mountain views. Direct access to the Bellecôte slope will place guests at the centre of Les Trois Vallées, the world’s largest ski area, giving the property a powerful combination of privacy, prestige and effortless mountain connectivity.

The transformation of the former Courcheneige Hotel is central to the project’s identity. Rather than replacing the site’s legacy with a generic new-build resort, Kerzner International plans a thoughtful reinvention that reflects One&Only’s design, comfort and service standards while preserving the spirit of the location. The result is intended to balance discretion and intimacy with the social energy that has long defined Courchevel.

Accommodation will include elegant guest rooms and expansive suites designed to maximise natural light, mountain views, warmth and privacy. The design will blend alpine architectural language with the understated glamour associated with One&Only. Spaces are planned to feel residential while remaining deeply connected to the surrounding landscape.

Dining and social experiences will be a defining pillar of the resort. The culinary offer will include a collection of restaurants, bars and lounges shaped around Courchevel’s celebrated lifestyle. From slope-side lunches and elegant evening dining to après-ski gatherings and late-night occasions, the resort is being positioned as both a hospitality destination and a social address for guests and residents.

Wellness will also play a major role in the project. The resort will include an expansive wellness sanctuary inspired by altitude, alpine air, silence, snow and the restorative contrast of heat and cold. Facilities will include an indoor-outdoor wet circuit, thermal experiences, private treatment spaces, beauty and recovery areas, and dedicated spaces for movement and relaxation.

The wellness concept will focus on recovery and rejuvenation. Tailored therapies will include post-ski muscle restoration, contrast bathing, mindfulness, sleep support and holistic renewals. High-performance wellness spaces will also allow guests to maintain fitness and recovery routines during ski stays or simply reconnect with themselves in a spectacular natural setting.

The project will also introduce a limited collection of One&Only Private Homes in Courchevel. These branded residences are expected to become among the most desirable ownership opportunities in the French Alps, combining private mountain living with the services and lifestyle of a fully serviced One&Only resort. The homes will be designed for owners seeking privacy, sophistication and year-round alpine elegance.

The announcement names Philippe Zuber, Chief Executive Officer of Kerzner International, and Juan Aguilar, President of Real Estate for Kerzner International, as key figures associated with the development. Their comments frame the project as a landmark moment for the brand and a rare opportunity to transform one of Courchevel’s iconic sites into a world-class resort and private homes offering.

With One&Only in Courchevel, Kerzner International is making a bold entrance into Europe’s luxury alpine hospitality market. The project brings together ultra-luxury resorts, branded residences, ski-in/ski-out access, immersive wellness, destination dining and the glamour of Courchevel 1850, setting the stage for one of the most anticipated mountain openings of 2030.
