Radisson introduces real-time AI price matching
Radisson Hotel Group has launched an AI-powered real-time price matching technology designed to make direct hotel booking faster and more transparent. The new feature automatically detects lower publicly available rates for Radisson Hotel Group properties on third-party booking platforms and matches eligible prices on RadissonHotels.com. By removing manual claims, screenshots and approval processes, the system replaces the traditional Best Online Rate Guarantee model with a fully automated solution. The launch forms part of the group’s broader digital transformation strategy and strengthens its focus on direct booking.
The new technology changes the way guests compare hotel rates before completing a reservation. Instead of asking customers to find a lower rate, submit evidence and wait for a decision, the system verifies eligible pricing differences automatically and in real time. This gives travellers greater confidence that booking directly with Radisson Hotel Group can deliver the best available price without additional effort.
The feature is designed to work when a guest finds a lower rate for a Radisson Hotel Group property on an online travel agency or a search engine such as Google Hotels. The AI-powered system checks the discrepancy, matches eligible lower publicly available rates and redirects the user to the hotel’s own website. This removes unnecessary steps from the booking journey and creates a smoother path from price comparison to direct reservation.
According to the announcement, the technology is already live across all Radisson Hotel Group properties worldwide. It currently covers rates from leading online travel agencies including Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, Agoda, Priceline, Trip.com, Makemytrip and several others. This global rollout gives the system immediate scale across the group’s hotel portfolio and makes the price matching function relevant to travellers in multiple markets.
For guests, the main benefit is simplicity. Real-time price matching reduces uncertainty during the booking process and saves time by removing the need to complete a separate best-rate claim. It also supports a more transparent direct booking experience, especially for travellers who compare hotel rates across several channels before making a decision.
For hotel teams, the automated model reduces the administrative workload connected with manual price match claims. Staff no longer need to manage individual submissions, verify screenshots or process approvals case by case. This allows hotel teams to focus more attention on the guest experience while the technology handles rate verification in the background.
The system also gives Radisson Hotel Group greater visibility into pricing performance and customer behaviour. By automating the process, the group can better measure the impact of rate differences and support more effective direct booking strategies. This makes the launch important not only for guests, but also for hotel partners looking to improve commercial performance and strengthen direct relationships with travellers.
Gianni Di Fede, Global Chief Commercial Officer at Radisson Hotel Group, is connected with the launch as part of the company’s commitment to speed, simplicity and confidence in the booking process. The new feature reflects the group’s investment in automation, AI integration and enhanced digital capabilities. By replacing a legacy, reactive best-rate process with a proactive real-time model, Radisson Hotel Group is positioning technology as a central tool in making travel planning easier, more transparent and more valuable for both guests and hotels.
