Sonesta Simply Suites Las Vegas completes renovation
Sonesta Simply Suites Las Vegas Convention Center has completed an extensive renovation programme designed to improve the guest experience for both new and returning visitors. The upgrades include refreshed guest rooms, updated hallways, new lighting and a fully modernised lobby and market area. Additional improvements have also been made to the 24-hour fitness centre, guest laundry room and elevators. The renovation strengthens the property’s position in the Las Vegas extended-stay hotel market with a more contemporary and uncomplicated stay experience.
The renovation of Sonesta Simply Suites Las Vegas Convention Center began in September 2025 and has now introduced a refreshed design across key areas of the hotel. The property’s new look supports the Sonesta Simply Suites brand promise of practical, apartment-style accommodation that helps guests feel at home while travelling. The updates are intended to create a seamless stay for visitors who need space to rest, work, eat and relax.
Guest rooms have been redesigned with simple furniture in neutral wood tones, comfortable seating and purposeful lighting. The new layout focuses on making better use of space so guests can move easily between different parts of their stay, whether they are working, unwinding or preparing meals. This approach reflects the brand’s emphasis on functional suites and longer-stay comfort.
The lobby has also been given a new modern identity. Clean lines and convenient amenities create a more useful arrival and gathering space for guests. The area now provides access to quick snacks, charging points and the ability to print documents before heading out, making it especially relevant for business travellers and guests attending events in Las Vegas.
Meeting facilities have also been upgraded. The hotel now offers a refreshed meeting room with enhanced Wi-Fi, a coffee station with a mini-fridge and built-in AV equipment, including a large whiteboard, projector screen and 65-inch TV. The room can accommodate up to 24 people in classroom style, giving the property added value for small meetings and work-focused stays.
The announcement names Tee Barrett, General Manager at Sonesta Simply Suites Las Vegas, as a key figure associated with the renovation. The project was completed in collaboration with Baskervill, which worked with Sonesta on the new Sonesta Simply Suites design. The result is a refreshed hotel environment built around simplicity, productivity and comfort.
The renovation also forms part of a broader effort by Sonesta to improve existing properties while continuing to grow its national portfolio. Similar renovation projects have already been completed or are underway at various Sonesta Select and Sonesta ES Suites hotels across the United States. This reflects the company’s focus on brand evolution as well as expansion.
