Monogram Collective is preparing to relaunch The Vineyard in Berkshire at the end of 2026 following an extensive multi-million pound renovation. The hotel is being reimagined as a contemporary countryside retreat built around food, wine, hospitality and meaningful gatherings. Its return marks the third property in the Monogram Collective portfolio. The transformation preserves the hotel’s celebrated legacy while giving it a renewed identity for modern travellers.

Set in the Berkshire countryside, The Vineyard has long been recognised as one of England’s most distinguished food and wine destinations. As a member of Relais and Chateaux and Pride of Britain Hotels, the property already carries a strong reputation for gastronomy, hospitality and wine culture. Under Monogram Collective, it is entering a new phase shaped by refined design, a deeper sense of place and a more contemporary expression of countryside luxury.

The first stage of the transformation will be revealed in November 2026. This phase will introduce 41 refurbished bedrooms and suites, together with a signature gastronomic restaurant, contemporary brasserie, bar and terrace, Wine Shop and Tasting Room, and Chocolate Kitchen. The hotel will also feature four private event spaces for up to 50 guests, strengthening its role as a setting for intimate gatherings, celebrations and private occasions.

The bedrooms and suites have been redesigned as calm and contemporary retreats. Soft textures, natural tones and thoughtful detailing create a quieter form of luxury focused on comfort and ease. Guests will also find bespoke in-room chocolates, luxury toiletries and refined amenities, reinforcing the hotel’s connection to craftsmanship, indulgence and considered hospitality.

Food and wine remain at the centre of The Vineyard’s identity. Under Executive Head Chef Tom Scade, the culinary offer will move between relaxed seasonal brasserie dining and a more refined gastronomic experience. Menus will be shaped by seasonality, provenance and creativity, giving the hotel a dining proposition that reflects both its countryside setting and its long-standing culinary reputation.

The wine programme will continue to be led by Director of Wine & Beverage Romain Bourger. His work reinforces The Vineyard’s position as one of England’s leading wine hotel destinations. Guests will be able to explore the Wine Shop and Cellar, discover rare vintages with expert sommeliers and experience wine pairings within the hotel’s signature gastronomic restaurant. The Chocolate Kitchen will add another layer to the guest journey through tastings and workshops focused on the craft of chocolate-making.

The next stage of the transformation will continue in Spring 2027. At that point, 18 additional bedrooms and suites will be introduced, bringing the hotel to a total of 59 keys. This phase will also add a boutique spa designed around restoration and renewal, giving The Vineyard a stronger wellness dimension alongside its food and wine offer.

The spa will include treatment rooms, an indoor pool, sauna, steam room, outdoor spa garden, manicure and pedicure stations, and a 24-hour gym. These facilities will broaden the hotel’s appeal for guests seeking countryside wellbeing as well as culinary experiences. The wellness offer will create a more complete retreat environment, positioning the property for restorative leisure stays as well as special occasions.

Additional event facilities will also form part of the 2027 phase. The hotel will unveil four dedicated event spaces for private dining, meetings and celebrations, including The Foley Suite, which will feature natural daylight, a private terrace and modern audiovisual capabilities. This will allow The Vineyard to serve both intimate social occasions and more polished business gatherings in a countryside setting.

The relaunch also represents an important moment for Monogram Collective. The group brings together distinctive countryside retreats across Scotland and England, founded by the family owners behind Apex Hotels. Alongside The Vineyard, the portfolio includes Pine Trees in Pitlochry and Meldrum House in Aberdeenshire. With the renewed The Vineyard, Monogram Collective is strengthening a collection built around heritage, character, contemporary design, refined dining and thoughtful hospitality.
