Waldorf Astoria to Launch Exclusive Nile River Cruise in 2026
Hilton and Middle East For Nile Cruisers have unveiled plans for a landmark luxury river cruise: the Waldorf Astoria Nile River Experience, scheduled to welcome guests in late 2026. This launch marks a new chapter in Waldorf Astoria's expansion, bringing the brand’s iconic elegance to the River Nile, Egypt’s most historic and storied waterway.
This bespoke experience will offer four- and six-night itineraries between Luxor and Aswan, with private docking in both cities. Along the way, guests will enjoy privileged access to world-famous landmarks including the Valley of the Kings, Luxor Temple, Kom Ombo, and Edfu, all while indulging in the refined service for which Waldorf Astoria is renowned.
The vessel will feature:
- Five luxurious decks and 29 opulent suites, each offering panoramic views of the Nile
- A dedicated personal concierge for each guest
- A state-of-the-art fitness center and full-service spa
- An elevated dining experience, including:
- The brand’s iconic Peacock Alley
- A brasserie with Egyptian, Mediterranean, and international cuisine
- A rooftop deck for scenic dining and entertainment
This ultra-premium river cruise sets a new benchmark for luxury experiential travel in the region. As part of Hilton’s broader strategy, the cruise enhances its growing footprint in Egypt, where the company currently operates 14 properties and plans to triple its presence, including launching lifestyle brands in the coming years.
Dino Michael, SVP & Global Head of Hilton Luxury Brands, emphasized that this offering is part of a larger global expansion strategy for Waldorf Astoria, complementing upcoming debuts in New York, Sydney, London, Osaka, Costa Rica, and Jaipur.
Waldorf Astoria Nile River Experience promises not only a journey through Egypt’s ancient wonders but also a transformative luxury escape unlike any other on the continent.
