White Lodging has acquired the Sheraton Raleigh Hotel, adding a major downtown Raleigh hotel to its growing portfolio. The 353-room property sits in the heart of the city and within walking distance of the Raleigh Convention Center, giving it strong relevance for both business travel and city demand. As part of the acquisition, White Lodging will also manage the hotel and reposition it through a brand evolution from Sheraton to Westin. The move marks the company’s first acquisition in Raleigh and signals a new phase of investment in the market.

The newly acquired hotel is set for a comprehensive transformation aimed at upgrading both its physical product and its market positioning. According to the announcement, the redevelopment will include enhanced guest rooms, refreshed public areas, additional meeting space and reimagined food and beverage concepts, all designed to elevate the overall guest experience. White Lodging is currently working through design and construction plans and expects the renovation to begin in early 2027, when the property will start its transition into a Westin. For the company, the investment fits a broader strategy that combines premium urban development, selective acquisitions and third-party management opportunities. In practical terms, the deal gives White Lodging a well-located hotel in a market where convention activity and growing leisure demand are expected to support future performance.
