The agreement, signed by Dimitris Manikis, President EMEA of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, and Sarbendra Sarkar, Founder & Managing Director of Cygnett Hotels & Resorts, reflects Wyndham's continued commitment to expanding its footprint in the Eurasia region. The deal includes an exclusive 10-year development plan for over 50 La Quinta by Wyndham hotels and a non-exclusive 10-year development agreement for 10 Registry Collection Hotels, which will be co-branded with Cygnett’s luxury brand, Anamore.

This alliance comes at a pivotal time when India’s domestic travel spending has reached USD 186 billion, with projections indicating 12% annual growth in leisure travel. Wyndham’s strategy aligns with the region’s rising middle-class travel demand, growing tourism infrastructure, and increasing domestic and outbound tourism.

La Quinta by Wyndham, already boasting more than 900 properties globally, targets the upper midscale segment, offering modern, value-driven stays ideal for both business and leisure travelers. Meanwhile, the Registry Collection Hotels brand brings a curated boutique luxury experience, featuring handpicked properties in premium destinations and will align with Anamore’s five-star offering in India.

This partnership also expands Wyndham’s existing portfolio of over 70 hotels across South Asia, which includes brands such as Ramada® by Wyndham, Howard Johnson® by Wyndham, and Wyndham Garden®. It is supported by the Wyndham Advantage, including a $350 million investment in technology since 2018 and access to a loyalty base of over 115 million Wyndham Rewards members worldwide.

This initiative not only deepens Wyndham’s regional influence but also reinforces its long-term commitment to sustainable hospitality growth in South Asia, offering new opportunities for owners and travelers alike.
