YOTEL expands portfolio with new openings in Asia and Europe
YOTEL, the London-based global hospitality brand known for its tech-driven, smart-design hotels, continues its ambitious expansion with a series of new openings and developments announced at IHIF 2025. With 23 operating hotels in 16 cities and airports worldwide, the brand plans to double its global footprint to 15,000 rooms by 2030, underlining its growing influence in both new and established markets.
YOTEL Bangkok, set to open at the end of 2025, marks the brand’s debut in Thailand. Located in South Sukhumvit’s Cloud 11 innovation district, the 250-room hotel will offer guests a fully tech-enabled experience featuring YOBOT luggage robots, SmartBeds™, and self-service check-in stations. It will also include a rooftop sky bar with views of Bang Krachao, coworking areas, and wellness amenities, aligning the hotel with its forward-thinking surroundings.
In the UK, YOTEL Belfast will open in late 2026 in partnership with Andras Hotels. Located in Shaftesbury Square, the 165-key property will reflect YOTEL’s signature smart design and offer features such as a 24/7 gym, flexible F&B concepts, and public spaces co-designed with local creatives.
YOTEL entered Japan with YOTEL Tokyo Ginza, which opened in December 2024 in collaboration with Frasers Hospitality. Positioned in the heart of Ginza near Tokyo Station, the 244-room hotel brings the brand’s signature elements, including its Komyuniti bar and restaurant and robot crew, to a key Asian gateway city.
The brand is also expanding its footprint in Malaysia and Saudi Arabia, with upcoming hotels in Kuala Lumpur (2026) and Oxagon, NEOM — the latter marking the first hotel in NEOM’s Research and Innovation district. These projects will further reinforce YOTEL’s presence in Asia and the Middle East, both crucial growth regions.
Meanwhile, YOTEL London City in Clerkenwell is undergoing a renovation of its public spaces, with completion scheduled for April 2025. Enhancements include improved guest flow at Mission Control (reception), a refreshed Revolve lounge, and a design concept inspired by Clerkenwell’s horological heritage.
As YOTEL continues to deliver tech-forward, space-optimised, and guest-centric experiences, the brand is clearly positioning itself to meet the evolving needs of modern travellers across a wide range of global destinations.
