YOTEL Makes Strategic Entry into Greece with YOTELPAD Athens Across Three Central Locations
YOTEL has announced its debut in Greece with the launch of YOTELPAD Athens, a forward-looking 113-key aparthotel concept spread across three distinctive buildings in central Athens. Developed in partnership with Valpre Capital, this project represents a major step in YOTEL’s strategic European expansion and underscores the brand’s growing stake in the booming extended-stay hospitality sector.
Slated to open in Q4 2026, YOTELPAD Athens will combine the independence of apartment living with YOTEL’s tech-enabled, design-led approach to hospitality. Located in the neighborhoods of Neos Kosmos (Iras), Monastiraki (Miltiadou), and Omonoia (Peiraios), the three buildings are being transformed to deliver a consistent yet localized guest experience across Athens’s most dynamic and historic districts.
Designed for both short-term visitors and long-stay residents, the PADs—ranging from studios to one-bedroom apartments—feature space-optimized layouts, Mission Control service points, Grab+Go snack stations, Wash+Go laundry facilities, and fully equipped gyms. The flagship Peiraios building will also boast a rooftop terrace with panoramic skyline views, offering an elevated urban experience.
The move comes amid record international arrivals in Greece, rising hotel occupancy, and government curbs on short-term rentals—factors that highlight growing demand for branded, flexible accommodation options. This positions YOTELPAD Athens to fill a unique market niche in a city where heritage meets contemporary urban living.
Rohan Thakkar, Chief Development Officer at YOTEL, emphasized Athens's evolution as a global destination and the need for adaptable hospitality models, while Ahmad Hariri, Managing Partner at Valpre Capital, underscored the vision to blend international appeal with local character.
Following the successful launch of YOTELPAD London Stratford, YOTELPAD Athens marks the brand’s expansion across Europe and Southeast Asia, reinforcing YOTEL’s status as a pioneer in smart, urban extended-stay solutions.
